How Often Should You Sheet Mask?
It might sound strange, but it is common for women in Japan, Korea and Taiwan to sheet mask daily. In Korea, sliced cucumbers were also used (there are special cucumber slicing machines just for this!). It's definitely something that can be incorporated into your daily skincare routine but for most of us, we recommend sheet masking 2 - 3 times a week. For faster results, you can use a functional sheet mask daily (functional sheet masks are formulated with specialized serums rather than just for hydration).
Watch the video below to see how our founder, Phoebe Song, incorporates a sheet mask into her daily skincare routine. In this video you can see the pinkish tinge of her permanent Rosacea/ Atopic Dermatitis areas (Rosacea is a medically incurable condition) and she's had about 4 hours sleep - but nevertheless, she has a consistently strict morning routine before applying make up. It also includes bonus tips for how to use a Gua Sha and Facial Roller over a sheet mask to maximize results and speed up sheet mask time.
For Rosacea skin types, it is important to stay hydrated throughout the day and maintain a daily nourishing routine to avoid irritations and dryness as well as over use of heavy products (this leads to clogging).
